Christien Louviere

Managing Partner, BDE Capital

Christien Louviere is the Managing Partner of BDE Capital, a lower middle market acquisition firm based in Atlanta that buys and builds durable, cash-flowing companies in healthcare services, B2B services, and trade schools.

BDE Capital is an independent sponsor. It raises capital deal by deal rather than out of a committed fund, which means there is no clock forcing a sale in year five. Every business it backs is paired with an operating partner, an executive who has built and run companies in the same sector and works hands-on with the management team. The structure flexes to what an owner actually wants. Some take liquidity and stay to grow the business with meaningful equity in the next chapter. Others want a clean exit, and the operating partner carries the continuity.

He came to acquisitions from enterprise software, which is not the usual route and is most of the reason he reads a business the way he does. He built the sales team at Vitrue, the Atlanta social marketing company Oracle acquired in 2012, and stayed on at Oracle as a director afterward. He went on to lead enterprise sales at Ensighten in San Diego, and at Banjo in San Francisco, where he worked alongside the founder to build the consumer goods vertical ahead of the company's Series C.

In 2015 he left to start SellPersonal, an Atlanta agency that helped chief executives build a public voice. He ran it for six years and grew it to a team of twelve. The line from there to here is the same work in a different room: translating between people who do not naturally speak the same language. A founder and an enterprise buyer. An owner and the person trying to buy their company.

He writes for owners who are thinking about the next chapter of their business and are not served well by the advice already out there. He is a buyer, and he says so inside the writing rather than around it. One of those notes spends its first half arguing the case against selling to a firm like his.

He is also a co-founder of Medical Desk AI Institute, a Texas Workforce Commission approved school that trains medical and dental front desk staff for the roles clinics genuinely struggle to fill. It passed its original TWC survey with zero deficiencies and was issued its certificate of approval in May 2026. The program is built around workforce funding rather than student debt.

He holds an MBA from the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University, where he concentrated in entrepreneurship and sales leadership, and a BA in political science from Louisiana State University, where he was a member of the football squad. He was a fellow at the Institute of Politics at Loyola University New Orleans. He has been involved with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society since 2012 and was a Man of the Year candidate in 2013. He lives in Atlanta.
